This afternoon went to a weedy lot in Kendall I had previously seen near SW 66 St and 102 Ave, which looked good for exotic weavers/finches or buntings, for which I had made a mental note about checking out. Did not find any of the above but did find a female Blue Grosbeak (FOS). Also on the wires overhead had a beautiful Spot-breasted Oriole and all 5 regular pigeons for S. Florida on the overhead wires: Rock Pigeon, White-crowned Pigeon, White-winged Dove, Collared Dove and Mourning Dove. Cool to see all of these together.

Later went to Indian Hammocks and stayed by the wsstern edge of the main hammock and also the cemetery area. Had Monk Parakeets, a single Chimney Swift overhead, Red-eyed Vireo and a nice mixed flock consisting of BG Gnatcatchers, 2 Tennessee Warblers, 1 N. Parula, 2 BT Blue Warblers (m and f), 1 Cape May Warbler and 2 Black-and-white Warblers. The highlight for me was a FOS Western Kingbird, hanging out with several Gray and Eastern Kingbirds. Good variety of Doves and Kingbirds today.

Yesterday, at the Dolphin Mall parking lot, near dusk, noticed a cute green Budgerigar flying around and screeching with Starlings and BT Grackles. It would fly and keep up with the maneuverings of the Starlings in the air. Funny to watch.
