There was good shorebirding to be had in the walk-in campground area of Flamingo today. A visit at low tide was very productive, with the highlights being two White-rumped Sandpipers, an American Avocet, and a flock of ~20 Pectoral Sandpipers. They were very skittish, and it was hard to approach them closely, but I eventually got some decent ID shots of the White-rumped Sandpipers for eBird.
There were also two American Oystercatchers on the sandbar in front of the Flamingo Visitor Center -- my first for the park, and I believe a very rare bird for Monroe county.
