After work my wife Sandy and I went to Bal Harbour to walk on the .8 mile path that goes from about 95th St. to Haulover Inlet. There is a narrow planted area between the walking path and a bike path.
About .4 mile along, there was an Olive-sided Flycatcher hawking insects--sitting on the highest bare perches it could find, which turned out to be sea grape branches only about 15-18' off the ground. The dark vest was very obvious, but other marks--big head, no eye ring, big bill, short tail, etc.--were also clear.
I wish I could have posted this earlier, since that bird may be gone tonight; but I have not been around a computer, and just got home.
