Four people joined me at the FIU ( Maidique Campus) Nature Preserve.
While the numbers of birds weren't great, we enjoyed the "botanical tour " that Ryan Vogel, who is in charge of the preserve, gave us. Thanks, Ryan!

Yellowstart ( Female Redstart)
Mockingbird ( 3-4 who followed us everywhere)
N Parula (3)
Pine Warbler
Ibis (flock of 15-20 overhead)
Northern Cardinal (2)
Quaker parrots (4)
Ovenbird
Unfortunately, the football stadium is nearby and they start practice at 8:45 AM. We decided to wrap things up since the blaring music was a bit too much. Somehow watching an ovenbird and listening to Metallica just doesn't mix.
I would love to have this walk again!
