South wind and lots of rain last night led to a real nice fallout in the upper Keys. An hour long stroll through Plantation Hammocks Estates Park in Islamorada was very productive. Mainly commoners but good numbers. If you are not familiar with this Park and are in the Islamorada/Tavernier area, check it out sometime. It has turned in to one of my favorite spots to bird in the upper Keys. The village of Islamorada bought this property about a decade ago, planted native trees and ground cover and it has filled in very nicely. There are nice trails through the hammock leading down to the Bay. It is located on Plantation Key at mm 87, bayside on the North side of Founders Park,
