First of the year Black throated blue warblers, more BG gnatcatchers, Red-shouldered hawks keeping the growing numbers of mourning dove in motion. A male wood duck appeared today with two black-bellied whistling ducks. The duckling wood ducks (3) can not fly at low level and have moved to a comfort zone at the south canal in and around the cocoplum growing over the water. Still no osprey and very few vultures.
