I covered the coastal parks in northeast Miami-Dade County: Arch Creek, Enchanted Forest, Greynolds Parks plus several spot checks in the City of North Miami for the NAMC on Saturday that resulted in 48 species and 490 individual birds. As part of my survey, I also focused on flowering and fruiting trees, shrubs, and vines that most migrants were foraging in such as Strangler fig, Gumbo limbo, Live oak, Trema, and Virginia creeper. In the Enchanted Forest Park there was a Parula Warbler singing rather loudly as it was feeding.
