Hi all, I wanted to report a Belted Kingfisher, seen Saturday morning at MacArthur Beach State Park in Palm Beach County. I have seen other posting of this species for this date on the lists, so am wondering, are these the first birds to head south, or did they never leave? any thoughts?

Also, Roseate Spoonbills are still in the north end of the Lake Worth Lagoon. They can be seen on the mud flats around low tide from Burnt Bridge on St. Rd. A1A(south of the MacArthur Beach State Park entrance) then they move north into the park waters onto those mudflats and can be seen from the boardwalk across the lagoon inside the park.

Linda,
ps, its great to hear from Paul B. again, glad your recovery is progressing nicely!
