I love and miss y?all. Thank you for your prayers. I am feeling remarkably well and ?when up to it ? have been trying to chronicle my experiences, and ? I?m beginning to feel a little like Ferris Beuhler and Forest Gump. I hope to see y'll in the field soon. I have attached a 9-page word document that I would like to sent to our Florida Birding Family. This is a work in progress - as you will soon see. Everybody is welcome to pass it on to any of their friends or family. I will be sending personal thank you cards to the many people that have been out there pulling for me.
Call me or better yet ? come by and see me. Please coordinate all visits with my wife Pam. I apologize - in advance - for my continued mangling of the English language. I would appreciate that any comments be made to my home e-mail address directly. It may take awhile to repond - you see -I don't have any deadlines to meet right now - besides getting healthy.
I should be back to work approximately 3 weeks. I will know more August 1st , when I visit my primary physician. On a recovery scale of $1 to $1,000,000 - with $1,000,000 being fully recovered - I feel like $750,000, and - I will be able to lead the TAS August 28, 2004 Field Trip.
Did I tell you that my favorite disco song is now ?Staying Alive", and - that my favorite pop song is "First Cut is the Deepest" by Sheryl Crowe?"
If you want to lift your spirits - see the movies "Miracle" and "Radio" - they should be required viewing for anyone associated with our youth.
Life is good.............................as I lift a celebratory libation of prune juice or herbal tea to be able to have the gift of life.
