A couple parulas were hanging around Arch Creek Park in North Miami, and a Black-and-white was heard in Enchanted Forest. Two Cooper's Hawks were around and I counted a group of 64 White Ibis loafing around the river.

For once, I was much more interested in the butterflies! I must have seen 20 Atala Butterflies (a new one for me), and good amounts of sulphurs, Gulf Frittilaries, Zebra Longwings, Monarchs, Julias, skippers, Ruddy Daggerwings, and a few more. Swallowtails are the most prevelant. The show is at the native plantings of Arch Creek.

I was also happy to see that Arch Creek is one of the last strongholds for the Carolina Green Anole in Miami. This species was everywhere in Arch Creek. The Carolina Green Anoles are replaced by the slightly larger, aggresive, Cuban Green Anoles in Miami. However, once you get out to Homestead, you won't see anymore Cuban Green Anoles though, which is great.
