What a great day for birding it was again. Lots of the same birds, but it s still good to see them. A few uncommon one; this is why I m out on the field to see them.
1.Double-crested cormorant
2.Snowy Egret
3.Limpkin
4.Great Blue Heron
5.Little Blue (immature, molting to its blue color)
6.Great Egret
7.Anhinga
8.Bald Eagle
9.Belted Kingfisher
10.Red-winged Black Bird
11.White Ibis
12.Spotted Sandpiper (Still has its spots.)
13.Cattle Egret
14.Red-bellied Woodpecker
15.Northern Cardinal
16.Blue Jay
17.Northern Mockingbird
18.Green Heron
19.Yellow billed Cuckoo
20.Purple Martin
21.Laughing Gull
22.Little Tern
23.Mourning Dove
What a birding day.
The Bald Eagle stayed on a dead snag for about half and hour and the canoeing group got a great look at it. The eagle was also immature.
Another great sighting today was a few Bottle nose dolphins, in Biscayne Bay. Their where about three; a very small pod.
