This mornign, 4 adventurous birders braved the mosquitoes in search of some hoped-for beer birds. Sadowski was birdier than yesterday, and we got 9 warbler species plus Summer Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Yellow-throated and Red-eyed Vireos, Eastern Wood-Pewee Eastern Kingbirds, and Great-crested Flycatcher.

Since we were seeing enough birds to keep us busy, it wasn't till high morning that we headed to Black Pt. There we quckly had a somewhat cooperative Mangrove Cuckoo, a real treat in September. Will they be there in winter?

At Dump Marsh the only addition was a female Painted Bunting. From there we parted ways, but I stopped at a couple of puddles along 97 Ave. and added Black-necked Stilt, Willet, Greater Yellowlegs, and Least Sandpiper. Cutler Wetlands is overgrown and flooded, but 4 Blue-winged Teal have been there all week. Thanks to those that joined the walk.
