Lucky Hammock and the Annex were pretty active this morning. I got there just after dawn to see a nice assortment of birds. Lucky Hammock had two Lark Sparrows (on the south side), Alder Flycatcher, a few Eastern Wood-Pewee, Great-crested Flycatcher, Eastern Kingbird and lots of mosquitoes.
The highlight at the Annex was a female CERULEAN WARBLER. This bird was seen past the gate (on your right)that is about half way down the road from the yellow gate that marks the entrance to the Annex area. There was a bulldozer parked blocking access to one of the work areas. The Cerulean Warbler was past this area on the left side in a fruiting fig. There was a small orange painted circle in the middle of the road. Just left of this was were the bird was located. There was also a calling Yellow-breasted Chat, Alder Flycatcher and Least Flycatcher. I was able to get Carlos Sanchez over to where the Cerulean Warbler was and he found it. It was a nice morning birding but was very buggy!
