The Kentucky Warbler was once again near the main gate, accompanied by a mix of American Redstart, Ovenbird, and Worm-eating Warblers. Shortly after seeing the Kentucky, a Sharp-shinned Hawk flew down the entire length of the trail and only veered off when it reached my head. It's always an adventure out there!

Best bird for me was my life Swainson's Warbler farther down the trail past the big puddle. Brief, but excellent view.

The most abundant bird species in the hammock was Ovenbird, followed by Worm-eating Warbler.
