The Cerulean Warbler Post got me all excited, so I set out to find my life bird for the day. About 100 yds. in from the entrance of the trails, on the N. side of the road adjacent to the very small area of grass, I saw what I thought might be my Cerulean, but it didn't look right. Think it was a very young Black and White, but not sure. Not a great variety, but there were large numbers of Ovenbirds, Worm-eating Warblers, Redstarts and BG Gnatcatchers. Highlights of the day were an overflying Breasted Kingfisher at the end of the trail by the open Palm Grove and a Chuck-will's-widow down one of the lesser traveled trails. Should be good birding this Saturday for the TAS Bird Walk. Hope for the little blue and white Warbler!
