During the last two weeks, seven or so groups of silent CONI consisting of ~20 birds on average have flown in from the north and fed over a field for ten mintues before flying south over the bay. Purple Martin have been showing up near sunset and feeding over FIU north campus as they move south. It is interesting how CONI seem to be silent during these diurnal movements.
