Joe Barros is unable to lead this Saturday's bird walk, so I've traded with him. Instead of birding Matheson Hammock and Fairchild Tropical Garden, we will only bird Matheson on Saturday (the other walk moves to Sept. 18).
The walk will visit Matheson Hammock on Old Cutler Rd. immediately
north of Fairchild Gardens. The group meets in the parking area on the
left inside the park entrance at 7:30 AM. Return is at approximately
11:00 AM. No fee.
Note that this walk (unlike the scheduled one), meets at the parking area inside the main entrance to Matheson Hammock (with the stop light). It does NOT meet at the lot adjacent to Fairchild (that's the 18th).
