A.D. Barnes (8/30/2011) -- Summer Tanager, 8 warbler species

A.D. Barnes had low overall numbers but reasonable diversity today with eight warbler species plus a Summer Tanager in the figs near the lake.

11 Red-eyed Vireo
2 Barn Swallow
16 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
3 Ovenbird
1 Worm-eating Warbler
1 Black-and-white Warbler
2 American Redstart
4 Northern Parula
2 Black-throated Blue Warbler
3 Yellow-throated Warbler
5 Prairie Warbler
1 Summer Tanager

The most surprising find of all today was a pair of Spot-breasted Orioles feeding in the trees around the lake -- it has been a while since I have seen them here!
