On 7/6/04, 8AM, I saw a yellow, Mocking bird size, bird feeding on the flowers in a Bottlebrush tree at SW 24 St & 23 Ave. (Miami). I watched it for about 5 min. and was within 8' of the bird until it flew away. It had a solid yellow body, dark wings(with a wing bar) and tail, dark legs, & a sharp beak. There were no other identifying marks. The only match I can find is the Golden Oriole but it is a European bird! I've excluded the local orioles, tanagers amd the Prothonotary warbler. Could this be an exotic or am I delusional? It looked like the image at http://www.birdguides.com/html/vidlib/species/Oriolus_oriolus.htm .
