Birded each park for about an hour today and just drove by Cutler Wetlands, which has a high water level and no shorebirds. Really wanted to do TAS trip today but could not get up early enough. Might head for that area tomorrow (Never been there). Highlights for each one are as follows.
Castellow (9-10 AM)
White-winged Dove (lots)
Purple Martin
Barn Swallow
Gnatcatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
N. Parula
Prairie Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Ovenbird
Brown-headed Cowbird
Drove by Cutler, and had Great Blue Heron, Little Blue Heron, Snowy Egret, Great Egret, Moorhens, Mottled Duck. Also helped a Softshell Turtle cross the street as it would not move and traffic was coming. Picked it up carefully from behind (I know they bite hard) and helped it to the water. My deed for the day).
Indian Hammocks:
White-crowned Pigeon
Barn Swallow
Bank Swallow
Gnatcatcher
N. Parula
Ovenbird
Late afternoon swung by AD Barnes:
Great Crested Flycatcher
BG Gnatcatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
N. Parula
Redstart (male and female)
Prairie Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
