Should storm help migration?

The north to south direction of winds this early morning may bode well for migrant birds...at least the swallows are whizzing by. Redstarts are appearing daily at Hoechoka Hammock (Sawgrass and University) and BG gntacatchers are here but quiet. Duck population is steady with no "newbies" now for three days. The SFWMD canals are up about 14 inches and rain in the Parkland/Coral Springs area is well above the stats shown for Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood.
