I took my son to FIU for his first day of classes.... It took 1 hour and 25 minutes to drive 15 miles (7am to 8:25) His class started at 8:00am...Ooops! I feel for all of you who do this commute thing every day. Since I was there I stopped at the Nature Center and birded a little while. It was fairly quiet except for Cardinals and Mockingbirds. I did see about a dozen Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and 5 Parula in the hammock. In the parking lot next to the stadium there were both Bank and Barn swallows flying around.
