The farm fields north of Parkland City Hall, on University drive about 1 mile north of intersection with holmberg road are being flooded. There are mottled ducks, herons, egrets, stilts, killdeer and other birds in there in great number. These fields I think are part of the Beatty Farm. You can see Lox road in the distance. It looks like rice paddies filled with birds. Best I could tell without scope was nothing unusual but for you birders with high power scopes you might want to check for whistling ducks...the fields are bigger than the ones at Loxahatchee by the Chickee..hope that gives you some idea of the size. Any one got info on why the flooding?
