Blacked bellied whistling ducks

BBWD continue their visit and maybe a residency at Hoechoka Hammock in Parkland. The birds are as comfortable here as I have seen them at Wakodahatchee or Green Cay and mingle with the many mottled ducks. Also, the wood duck female with three ducklings are present daily and yesterday a family of otters joined the display. Mottled duck numbers are increasing but still no other species.

One observation on the muscovey---they don't seem to handle interaction with pekin or roen ducks well. The muscovey numbers are diminishing and the white pekins are very aggressive toward them
