killdeer chicks just hatched

they are too cute! We've been watching the nest on the side of the road in front of our house, protecting them from kids, cars, etc. They hatched yesterday, and are still nerarby in the dirt side yard, there are some trees and bushes, but no water, should we provide any source of water for them?
