Documentation of nesting requires seeing the bird carrying nesting material to the hole, or a beak full of food, or better, removing a fecal sac or visual or audible evidence of young. Otherwise you can't say that it isn't just a roosting hole. Please continue to follow the birds, and post when you see some "family behaviors". I would love to videotape it.

: Lately I have seen a Hill Myna poking it's head out of a hole from a dead Royal Palm. I know a few people have been asked to document where they are nesting, and I'm sure this one is a good candidate. The nest is located along NE 6th Avenue, just along the edge of the sidewalk between the avenue and Miami Country Day School in Miami Shores. The nest is located at the top of the only dead Royal Palm around there. I tried taking a picture, but my camera is too weak to have gotten a good enough picture of the bird. The bird in the picture looks like a little black dot with a speck of orange. If anyone who lives in the area (such as David Wright or Steve Siegel) have some time, please try to take a picture or video grab of the bird or birds. I know Bill Pranty would appreciate it, aswell as myself.
