Hello all,

This is slightly off topic, so I hope the Webmaster will indulge us. Alison and I have finished our year in Miami. We came down to Miami from Washington, DC so that I could clerk for a federal district court judge for the year. It has been a wonderful year, netting us scores of new species (50+ lifers from me, and 100+ for Alison) and, more importantly, a number of new friends. We have really enjoyed our time in south Florida, due in large part to our friends at TAS who have been so generous in introducing us to the birds and birding locations of the area. Thank you in particular to (in no particular order) Brian, Paul B., Toe, Bill B., Robin, A&M, and the Paces, all of whom were so welcoming and generous with their time. It's wonderful, as a birder who is new to the area, to be welcomed so quickly to the birding community. Thank you also to everyone who posts on the BirdBoard (and to John, who maintains the Board). This site is such a great resource for the community.

Now we're off to our next adventure, which starts with a cross-country drive culminating in Los Angeles. If any of you find yourselves in the LA area in the next few years, please drop us a line.

Best regards,
Anil & Alison
