Did some suburban birding this morning and started at Indian Hammocks. The main hammock was dead except for some Cardinals and Gnatcatchers. The western edge had 3 Prairie Warblers, more Gnatcatchers, some Barn Swallows, many Common Grackles feeding on the ground, a couple of perched White-winged Doves (usually seen flying overhead), Monk Parakeets and the usuals.
When I went to the area near the garbage dump I was told by some county employees that I wasn't allowed to be there! Yeah right, I will be back.

Afterwards headed to the nearby Horse Country area and added an Anhinga and Moorhen in a canal, a Gray Kingbird, Loggerhead Shrike, White-crowned Pigeon and couple of Brown-headed Cowbirds with large flocks of the new generation of Starlings, most of them brown juveniles feeding in the pastures.

On my way to AD Barnes stopped by Snapper Creek Canal near 107 Ave and Sunset and added about 20 Cave Swallows.

The main hammock at AD Barnes was fairly quiet but added my FOS Red-eyed Vireos. There were some gnatcatchers and cardinals also but not much else. Near the lake the large trees were busy with birds, mostly Blue Jays, RB Woodpeckers, Monk Parakeets, Cardinals and my FOS Summer Tanager (female) and first for the park Downy Woodpecker. The lake had a feeding Tricolored Heron, a Moorhen and a White Ibis.
