This morning, I found a Prothonotary Warbler along the Annex section of Aerojet Road. A Northern Parula was the only other warbler seen. I was hoping for an early Alder Flycatcher, but I saw or heard none.
A Greater Yellowlegs, Spotted and Least Sandpiper and Killdeer were the only shorebirds seen around the adjacent spreader canal. Two Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks briefly landed in the canal; I'm surprised to see that this would be a new addition to the Lucky Hammock area checklist.
