WCA 2B west of Markham Park has nearly dried out and most of the wading birds and all of the Snail Kites are gone. This morning there were still some medium sized waders and Limkins around along with a couple of Roseate Spoonbills. There were only a couple of Great Egrets there and the only Woodstorks seen were soaring in the distance. Twenty or thirty Great Blue Herons were still around a couple of which were white morphs, these may have been around all along but been lost among the Great Egrets.

At the Ft. Lauderdale Airport Greenbelt Park and Perimeter Road later this morning there were two juvenile Smooth-billed Anis with at least three and possibly five adults. The juveniles are flying well now and have nearly full length tails but smaller bills than the adults. They also look a little more ragged and have yet to achieve the style and gracefulness of the older birds.
