A quick one hour of birding at A.D. Barnes was productive, continuing to show that migrant numbers and diversity are continuing to build at the park. Today, I had my first Northern Parulas of fall migration. Here are the numbers:
Red-eyed Vireo 5
Barn Swallow 3
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 16
Northern Parula 2
Yellow-throated Warbler 1
Prairie Warbler 3
Black-and-white Warbler 4
American Redstart 2
On the exotics front, I had four Orange-winged Parrots perched in the Casuarinas lining the lake.
