The photo of the tern was under-exposed so i lightened it in Photoshop and I concur that it is a juvenile Black Tern. With regard to the whimbrel-like bird in the photo, it's hard for me to say with 100% certainty that this is a whimbrel. Is there a possibility that it could be a short-billed Long-billed Curlew? I'll leave that up to others with more experience to decipher because the bird in the photo is flying away from the photographer and the angle doesn't lend itself to much diagnostic field marks. Anyone else want to chime in on this?
