I birded my yard from 8-9 am today and came up with the following birds. Migrants must be trickling down. Does the arrival of so many Barn Swallows mean Fall is just around the corner, or is it just there are zillions of mosquitoes for them to eat? I did have several warblers show up, so it must be the start of a good thing. The highlight of the yard were a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks that landed in some tall trees and called to each other.
