I checked out a number of seasonal wetlands in the Homestead area this afternoon and was able to eek out a few shorebirds.

There were 2 Solitary Sandpiper and a single Least Sandpiper in the swale on the edge of the field northwest of the corner of SW 328th St. and SW 167th Ave. right before you go under the Turnpike.

Along SW 132d Ave. bisecting the filed between SW 320th St. and SW 328th St. there were two Short-billed Dowitchers (verified by call). There were also several Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks feeding in the field. Presumable the same group that has been in the area since May. There was also a Bronzed Cowbird among the large blackbird/grackle flock feeding in the field.
