I have read that the midnight singers are males looking for mates ( although it's a little late). Another factor can be artificial lights. My neighbors have lights that they sometimes leave on all night in the backyard ( ugh)and I have noticed this is when the mockers sing.Then again, I would rather hear a bird than a car alarm or a loud party!
