A.D. Barnes (7/21/2011) -- migrants trickle by

Today, I birded A.D. Barnes Park for about an hour in the morning. Around the pond and small hammock in the southeast corner of the park, I did not encounter much of interest other than a trio of Hill Mynas and a few Blue-gray Gnatcatchers. However, in the hammock itself, I encountered a nice early season flock of migrant passerines -- Red-eyed Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Prairie Warbler, and Black-and-white Warbler were all present. Here is my tally:

Red-eyed Vireo 4
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 13
Prairie Warbler 1
Black-and-white Warbler 1
