Another awesome day (where were ya, LaPuma???) 10 species of Raptors made the day, along w/the latest vagrant. Highlights:

Around Flamingo - Short-tailed Hawk, Broad-winged, Red-shouldered, Harrier, Osprey, Bald Eagles, Kestrel, Peregrine, Painted Buntings and Wood Storks, Avocets, Stilts and tons of waders.

Main park road - Lark Sparrows (2 near ninemile pond) Savannah Sparrows (everywhere) Sharp-shinned Hawk (near Pineland trail) Sandhill Cranes (2 just outside the park, south side of road)

Turnpike: Red-tailed Hawk (Speedway Blvd exit)

AD Barnes: La Sagra's Flycatcher, Baltimore and Spot-breasted Oriole, Rose-breasted Grosbeak (female) and warblers including Pine, Palm, Prairie, Yellow-throated, and B/W.

Return trip: Barred Owl, Barn Owl, and one each of Whip-poor-will and Chuck-wills (both of which were, unfortunately, no longer breathing and half-smashed)
