Odd Bird in South Dade

I was driving down Marlin and saw an Odd bird fly into a large Strangler Fig. I almost didn't stop turn around a check it out, but couldn't resist.

I went back to the tree and after a minute of looking I found the bird....

It was a Spot-breasted Oriole! Only the second one I've seen this year in the area. In 2010 I only saw a few as well. We use to see many more around making me believe the population has decreased in numbers. In 2009 and before I would see them often in the area, even had them regular in my yard.

I'm forgetting what they look like at glance, which is why I had to stop what I was doing and look for this bird today....

Give it a week before you start whining, Toe.... I think I may join you this fall if we have similar results as in the spring.
