A walk along the canal on the west side of the Kendall-Tamiami airport this morning yielded a beautiful adult Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (looking great in the reddish early morning light) and a Western Kingbird.

Others of note included 1 each Blue Grosbeak, SS & Cooper's Hawks and 3 calling Towhees (sporadically present there), plus a White-eyed Vireo (rare at this location).

Both Kestrel and Savannah Sparrows were surprisingly absent.
