Hi, Ian. Try hard to post that photo, as I'd really like to see what snake you found. Can't give any advice, as I'm never successful at it either.

: Apologies for how long after the event these comments are. As they relate to visits in mid-April I appreciate that they are hardly up-to-the-minute news but I am only now getting around to compiling a trip list following my return to England.
:
: Hope you like the attached photo (At least there would have been a photo attached if I could figure out how to attach it - advice please). Whilst not a bird, I would appreciate any information as to what they are. A frog and a snake wins no prizes!
:
: Highlights of my visit were brown-headed (OK new for me) and shiny cowbirds at Flamingo. A stunning morning at Eco Pond where everything one could wish for turned up including American bittern (more confiding than its European cousins), very ‘tame’ red-shouldered hawk, and a glorious display by three swallow tailed kites flying alongside two magnificent frigatebirds.
:
: I am gradually compiling my total trip list but would like in the mean time to thank all the real friendly American birders I met along the way. My next visit in the winter feels a long way off!
