Yes, Karen, it is Carlin Park.
My birding friend Al told me to park by the tennis courts and take the trail that heads southwest from the left-most court (as you face west). I was very surprised to find that there are condos a very short distance away but, if they are there, the Scrub Jays will be in any of the trees that line the trails in that area. (I didn't find any the one time I've been.)
