Congratulations on your list of sightings and sounds. I joined some bird watchers in Panama and it was pretty exciting! My joy is the Ghost Orchid, however, so much so that as an author I was compelled to write a mystery novel around its original blooming on my birthday in 2007 at Blair Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. The novel, Ghost Orchid by D. K. Christi, encompasses the wonder of the Everglades (as praised by NPR) and the mystery and mystique of that magical and record-setting "Super Ghost" that I stalked every day of its blooming in 2007, 2008, and parts of following years.
