There's been a black-whiskered vireo calling from my yard like crazy every day all day for about two weeks now. Can't figure if it has a mate or not but it sure is melodious. Anyone who needs it for their life list, year list, or if you're bored and have no life, stop by and see it.
There's nesting downy woodpeckers too. They made a hole in a dead limb of a cecropia tree in my neighbor's yard. And I just fledged three baby screech owls from a nest in a dead palm. It's a jungle out there.
