This afternoon I took my brother Auto-Birding & we went in the agricultural fields off of SW 217 Ave and 384 St., and south of Ingraham Hwy. by the white water tanks, looking of anything that might show up. All we found were Cattle Egret, Laughing Gulls, and a few Killdeer following the tractors as they were plowing the weeds. We then ran over to Homestead Airport and picked up 2 Burrowing Owls perched on the orange cones above their burrows. Also noted that the Eastern Meadowlarks probably outnumbered the Boat-tailed Grackles in the fields and fences. I've never seen so many by the airport. When I got home, I was greeted to the song of my Black-whiskered Vireo, and after a few minutes, located him with my binoculars in the top of a Mahogany tree.
