About noon on Tuesday,October 23, I saw fourteen Flamingos at Snake Bight in the Everglades Nat'l Park.
They were easily visable via 30x scope and were still there when I left about 1:15p.m.
While at Snake Bight, a Peregrine came in to seize a Black-necked Stilt who heroically fought off the raptor while standing its gound in the water. The raptor made three passes at the stilt but finally gave it up. What a show! This happened just 50 feet from the viewing stand at Snake Bight.
