I don't think there are better places for viewing several Psittacidae species than Matheson and Kendall Baptist Hospital. For instance, Mitred Parakeets are almost always at the hospital in high numbers.
Military Macaws, as far as I know, have not bred in any sort of numbers in Florida in recent years, if at all. One was seen every now and then in the Matheson area associating with Blue-and-yellow Macaws several years ago.
Plenty of parakeets and parrots are around, maybe he is not in the right locations?
