Looking at the Breeding Bird Atlas, it seems that it is rather unusual for Coops to breed in S. Florida. There was a nest last summer that is being rebuilt right now, in Deerfield Beach. There should be some great photo opps available if the nest is successful, as last year the fledglings and mother returned every evening for a family gathering near the nest. Let me know if you are interested in news of the nest, and if you understand why this is considered rare ;)
