They do like to eat the inside out, and they will then drop the husk on you while you're looking up at them. I love this behavior! I've never thought about whether or not it is female-specific behavior; something to observe in the future. There just happen to be a lot of female Blues around right now, so they're the ones doing this. The females migrate later than the males in general, and the ficus at Cape Florida are fruiting like crazy!
