Wouldn't you know, it was not 10 minutes after I posted the departure of the Painted Buntings a green one appeared at the back feeder. I am quite sure yesterday this bird was not here as I checked the feeder frequently. It is really chowing down. It is at the feeder as I write this. I am thinking this could be a different bird from the group I had---possibly one just passing through. I wish I had a Indigo Bunting---maybe next year!
