John Ogden and I led a South Florida trip for an excellent group of folks from Audubon Pennsylvania from April 25 to 29 in what turned out to be a great week of birding!
We covered select portions of Everglades National Park, South Dade, the Keys and Dry Tortugas. It was a wonderful time spent with the dynamic group of 18 nature enthusiasts who joined John and I in wild bird chases, swamp mucking, ornithology discussions and presentations, celebration of J.J. Audubon's b-day, and much more birding.
Big thanks go to Jerry Lorenz and Pete Fezza at Tavernier Science Center for welcoming us and preparing an excellent presentation on Roseate Spoonbill, and following discussions on Everglades restoration.
